WICHITA, Kan.—Alan Clark, PGA has been named executive director of First Tee Greater Wichita.
“We are excited to welcome Alan to First Tee,” says Tom West, First Tee board president. Clark replaces Mrs.
Nancy Compton who is leaving the role after helping First Tee successfully launch the Greater Wichita chapter.
Compton looks forward to pursuing other personal interests and spending more time with family.
“Alan was been selected as our new executive director to lead the organization in this next phase of
our journey. His strategic underpinning, proven leadership capability and knowledge and experience in the golf
industry will serve the organization well going forward. We are excited to take the Greater Wichita chapter
to the next level, including completing and opening our new Learning Center and Steve Hatchett Youth Golf
Campus co-located with MacDonald Golf Course.”
Clark has been a Class A member of the PGA of America for more than 25 years. He has provided
leadership for several prominent golf clubs in the St. Louis area along both the director of golf and general
manager tracks. He is also engaged in the development of software technology, featuring hands-free video
capture through smart devices for golf and sport.
First Tee has impacted the lives of more than 25,000 young people in South Central Kansas by
introducing them to the game of golf and its inherent values. Through First Tee Life Skills Experience Program,
First Tee DRIVE after-school program or First Tee National School Program, First Tee strives to build character,
instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices to young people of all walks of life.
